Introduction to Field Training

All club members are invited to a 3 hour seminar on beginning field training.

This is the sport most Goldens are hard wired to enjoy (and just in case you think your pup is not interested you might be surprised when they see their first bird!).

Come and spend a fun and informative afternoon with your best bud and learn about the sport that belongs to retrievers. One dog per person, please.

What you’ll need: plenty of soft treats, a chair to sit on, a long line (clothes line, 30 foot from hardware store and attach a snap bolt) and an open mind and a willingness to learn)
What you’ll get: a clear understanding of your dog’s natural talent and potential. Initial training tips and a handout that outlines next steps to take home.
Nora Hayes will conduct the training and she will supply bumpers and birds and plenty of encouragement.
At the end during wrap up Nora will outline the skills needed for a WC (working certificate) or JH (junior hunter)

Date: Saturday May 11
Time: 1-4
Place: Almost Home Kennels, Putnam Valley NY
